I typically meet new clients by referral from other attorneys or former clients.  I often spend significant time getting to know people and understand their goals before agreeing to accept them as clients.  A substantial portion of my work is done in preparation for appearing in the court room.  Being prepared requires those client meetings and I am willing to listen for as long as it takes to understand my clients problems.
